SEIKO FUJITA (JMTW Artistic Council/Dancer) began classical ballet training in Japan at three years old. In Japan, she worked in venues such as Tokyo Disney Land and Ballet Studio DUO. In 1997, she came to NYC, studied at The Alvin Ailey School and danced with Von Ussar Danceworks, Elinor Coleman Dance Ensemble, Footprints Dance Company, Flexicurve and Fred Benjamin Dance Company. Ms. Fujita joined The Works in 2006. She has assisted Muller in residency projects at Rutgers University, Ailey/Fordham BFA Program, Steps on Broadway. She assisted Ms. Muller in re-staging Speeds for Long Island University/Brooklyn and Jacksonville University and taught Miserere Nobis at CCSU. She was Muller's assistant for Bench and, most recently, Interview: The Warhol Project for Introdans in the Netherlands. With Mr. Hashimoto, she directed JMTW in China and NYC in 2017.
